So many options, ya’ll.
we have heinz for our seminar this quarter, and he charged us with taking up an experimental type project for the summer.
i’ve had a few ideas that i think would be fun to develop, my strongest being a typeface that is designed around an aphorism (such as: The poor have little, beggars none; the rich too much, enough not one).
but i’d rather spend my time working with type in a way that it will benefit someone, somewhere. is that possible? are there any predominately type-based projects that can make a difference somehow? can type contribute to some kind of cause or betterment, no matter how small?
